drifting nimbus ｢透影｣ is a sculptural artist book that takes inspiration from the structure of a folding screen, extending across and cutting space, using film-shot images to weave its narrative. Combined with gossamer-thin washi, its translucency effuses fragility, emphasising the delicate qualities of its subject matter—cobwebs, dust, shafts of light; its porosity beckons light to pass through it, allowing images to layer one upon the other and collapse space. Through the book form, Singaporean artist Angelica imbues the images with structural and tactile qualities, inviting audiences to engage with the work's materiality across shifting light, time, and relational contexts. Unfolding across a set of thin, light wooden frames, each image operates as part of a lexis derived from nature, articulating Angelica's long-term inquiry into how time's passing is felt and experienced—physically and spiritually—as well as nature's minute gestures.
藝術書《drifting nimbus 透影》取法屏風的結構，以雕塑性的延展與切割重塑空間，編織出豐富的影像敘事。微光滲透薄如紗霧的和紙，既流露脆弱，也越加彰顯蜘蛛網、塵埃和光束的細膩特質；和紙的孔隙引光而入，使影像疊映交錯，更將空間推向崩散。新加坡藝術家王歆惠以書為媒介，為影像賦予結構的重量與觸感的回聲，引導觀者在光線、時間及關係變換之間，直接體察作品的物質感。作品於輕盈的木質框架上徐徐攤展，每幅影像皆宛如自然的字句，訴說藝術家對於時間流逝的身心感知與經驗，以及她對自然細微姿態的長期探究。

In this artist talk, Angelica will share the motivations and inspirations behind her new work, drifting nimbus ｢透影｣, and walk audiences through the ideas and methods that shaped it. She will also discuss long-standing influences from literature and linguistics that inform her practice, alongside a booksharing focused on materials and methods employed in her past works as well as artist books that have inspired her, with an emphasis on her fascination with both materials and subject matter that are ephemeral, fragile and which resist capture.
在這次的藝術家分享，藝術家王歆惠將分享她新作《drifting nimbus 透影》背後的動機與靈感，並帶領觀眾了解塑造這作品的理念與方法。她還會探討長期影響她創作的文學與語言學元素，並進行一場專注於她過往作品使用的材料與方法的書籍分享，同時介紹啟發她的藝術家書籍。此次分享特別強調她對於那些短暫、脆弱且難以捕捉的材料與主題的迷戀。
